One of the original families who migrated to Washington County built a grist mill to serve the local community. The mill is located on Jordan Mill Pond Road just off Hwy 88 between Wrens and Sandersville, GA. The original mill was destroyed by fire. The current mill was rebuilt in 1920. The photographs are shown below. It is a beautiful place to fish or picnic.
